Projects
A project is the top-level container for all work in PushBackLog. Each project has its own backlog, kanban board, themes, decisions, and team roster.
Creating a Project
- Click Projects in the sidebar.
- Click New Project.
- Fill in:
- Name — human-readable project name (e.g. “Mobile App Rewrite”)
- Key — short prefix used for ticket IDs (e.g.
MA). Keys are 2–6 uppercase letters. Cannot be changed after creation. - Description — optional context about the project’s purpose.
- Click Create.
Your first backlog item can be created immediately after.
Project Key
The project key is prepended to every ticket ID: MA-1, MA-2, etc. Choose a descriptive but short key. Once set, it cannot be changed because existing ticket IDs would break.
Managing Projects
From the Projects list page you can:
- Open a project to view its backlog
- Edit project name and description (key is read-only)
- Archive a project to hide it from the default list (archived projects remain searchable)
Project Settings
Inside a project, the Settings tab exposes:
- General — name, description, key (read-only)
- Members — add or remove project-level members and set their roles
- Danger zone — archive or permanently delete the project
Switching Projects
The sidebar shows your most recently accessed project. Use the Projects link to switch to a different project, or use the project switcher dropdown at the top of the sidebar (if you have multiple projects).
